1.4835 has gnificantly higher nickel and increased nitrogen content than other heat resistant austenitic stainless steels. This combined with micro alloyed rare earth metals gives good resistance to oxidation and relatively high creep strength values.

We use EAF+VOD-ESR melting methods to melt the material of 1.4835 
As per heat treatment of 1.4835 forged parts, it will be Stress relieving 850-950°C (1560-1740°F), 10-15 minutes, cooling in air.

1.4835 has excellent resistance to air, at temperatures up to 1150°C. At high temperatures the steel quickly forms a thin, highly adherent and elastic oxide. This oxide gives good protection even under cyclic conditions
As for other austenitic 1.4835 stainless steels, the machining requires sharp tools, slow speeds and heavy feed. This grade has a low sulphur content.
