As per heat treatment of AISI 318LN forged parts, it can be solution annealed at 1020-1100ºC, water quench.

AISI 318LN is resistant to intergranular corrosion. It has better corrosion resistance than that of other austenitic stainless grades such as 316, with higher resistance to stress corrosion cracking to that of either 304 or 316 stainless grades
AISI 318LN is requires an adjustment of tooling data and machining method, in order to achieve satisfactory results. Compared to Sanmac 316/316L, the cutting speed must be reduced by approximately 50-55% when turning AISI 318LN with coated, cemented carbide tools. Much the same applies to other operations. Feeds should only be reduced slightly and with care
