Alloy 24 is a high-nitrogen, fully austenitic stainless steel which features both high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive media.

Alloy 24 will be melted by AOD refining or vacuum induction melting. Vacuum arc or electroslag remelting procedure

Alloy 24 should be shall be heat-treated in the range 2050 °F (1120°C) to 2140 °F (1170 °C) followed by quenching in water or rapidly cooling by other means
